Being a lifelong Michigander, summer has always been my favorite time of the year. The lake life, barbeques, and spending great nights with family and friends is what we all have in common. The kids are home from school enjoying their break and creating new memories.
With that in mind, we need to reinforce healthy choices and a balanced diet for great oral care. Whole fruit and raw vegetables are a great snack alternative instead of pre-packaged sugary treats.
Also, keep the cooler filled with cold water instead of sodas, energy drinks and juices. Most of these contain tooth-eroding acids that will cause cavities.
